Nytt rekord. Ett säkerhetshål som dök upp i firmwaren på iPod Touch 2G finns även i iPhone 3GS och kan användas för att jailbreaka den nya iPhonemodellen. Det bekräftas av de tongivande telefonhackarna i iPhone Dev Team.
Gruppen skriver i ett uttalande att det innebär att tekniken från upplåsningsverktyget redsn0w kan använda för att jailbreaka iPhone 3G S.
About 5 hours ago, we were able to verify that the 24Kpwn exploit that the hybrid team used on the iPod Touch 2G is still present in the bootrom of the iPhone 3GS. That means we can apply the same sort of technique used by our current redsn0w tool to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone 3GS.
